Terms of use
Last updated: 24 October 2026
These terms form the licence agreement (the "Agreement") between Code-it Łukasz Waszkiewicz, Malinowa 8, 95-035 Ozorków, Poland, NIP PL7322144665 ("Code-it", "we"), and the organisation that installs or subscribes to ReleaseGuard (the "Customer", "you"). By installing ReleaseGuard you accept them on behalf of your organisation and confirm that you are authorised to do so.
1. The product
ReleaseGuard is a managed package for Salesforce that evaluates a Salesforce org against a catalog of rules about documented Salesforce platform changes and records findings in that org (the "Software"). It is offered to businesses only, not to consumers.
2. Licence
- We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Software, for the subscription term, in the Salesforce production org for which it was licensed and in the sandboxes of that org.
- A subscription covers one production org. Each additional production org needs its own subscription.
- You may not resell, sublicense, copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the Software, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law expressly permits this.
- The Software, the rule catalog and all related intellectual property remain ours.
3. Trial
You may use the full Software free of charge for 30 days in one production org. The trial is provided "as is", with best-effort support, and ends automatically unless you buy a subscription.
4. Subscriptions and payment
- Subscriptions are annual and priced per production org, as shown on the pricing page or in your order. All plans include the same Software and every Salesforce release during the term; plans differ only in support.
- Subscriptions are bought through Salesforce AppExchange. Payment terms, invoicing and renewal follow the order placed there. Prices exclude VAT and other applicable taxes.
- We may change prices for future terms by giving at least 60 days' notice before renewal.
- If a subscription ends or is not paid, the licence expires and the Software stops running scans. Data already in your org stays there.
5. Support and updates
Support is provided as described on the support page for your plan. We publish updates of the Software, including new and updated rules, during the term. Rules reflect our reading of Salesforce's public documentation at the time; Salesforce may change dates or scope without notice.
6. Your responsibilities
- You decide who in your org has access to ReleaseGuard and its results, and you are responsible for the data in your org.
- You review findings before acting on them. ReleaseGuard reports and recommends; it never changes your configuration or code.
- You use the Software in line with your Salesforce agreement and applicable law.
7. Data
The Software runs inside your Salesforce org and does not send your org's data to us. How we handle the limited personal data we do receive is described in the privacy policy.
8. Warranty
We will provide the Software with reasonable skill and care and will fix reproducible defects within a reasonable time. ReleaseGuard helps you find risks; it cannot guarantee that every affected component is found, that Salesforce will enforce changes on the published dates, or that your org will be unaffected by a release. Results that ReleaseGuard could not determine are reported as "Not evaluated" or "No evidence" and are not a confirmation that nothing is affected. Beyond what is stated here and to the extent the law allows, the Software is provided without further warranties, express or implied.
9. Liability
- Our total liability under this Agreement in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the Software in that period.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or business interruption.
- These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.
10. Term and termination
The Agreement runs for the trial or subscription term and renews with the subscription. Either party may terminate it if the other materially breaches it and does not cure the breach within 30 days of written notice. You may uninstall the Software at any time; fees already paid are not refunded unless the law or your order says otherwise.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Changes that affect you materially apply from your next renewal, and we will tell you about them in advance by email or in the application.
12. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by Polish law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Disputes are decided by the court with jurisdiction over Code-it's registered address.
